Muswellbrook

Muswellbrook Shire is centrally located in the Upper Hunter valley. The Shire consists of two larger towns Muswellbrook and Denman, as well as a number of outlying rural communities including Sandy Hollow, Wybong, Baerami, Martindale, McCullys Gap, Widden and Muscle Creek. 43% of the Shire is covered with national park, which includes the World Heritage Wollemi National Park.

The Shire is predominantly known for coal mining and horse breeding and is also home to wineries and two power stations.
