Bland Shire is located on the northern fringes of the Riverina region, on the intersection of the Newell and Mid Western Highways.

The Shire’s rural economy is built around sheep, cattle, wheat and other crop varieties, which is currently expanding through a number of new agribusiness and mining opportunities.
